Delete your Comichat account
You can delete your account in Comichat or request deletion by email. You do not need to reinstall or sign into the app to send an email request.
Request deletion without the app
- Send an email to jjdeveloperbd@gmail.com, preferably from the email address linked to your Comichat account.
- Use the subject Delete my Comichat account. Include your comic username, if known, and confirm that you want your account and associated app data deleted.
- The developer will verify account ownership, handle the request and reply about its outcome or any further steps needed. If you cannot use your registered mailbox, explain this in your request so ownership-verification options can be reviewed.
If the button does not open an email app, use your normal email service and send the request to the address above. Sending this request does not instantly delete the account; the developer handles it after verifying ownership.
Keep your account secure: never send your password, a sign-in link, a verification code or a private encryption key. We do not need those secrets to process your request.
Delete inside Comichat
- Open My profile and check that it is the account you want to delete.
- Choose Delete account. If asked, complete the fresh email sign-in step.
- Read the confirmation and choose Yes, delete account.
Deletion is permanent. Signing out or uninstalling alone does not delete your server account.
What is deleted
Account deletion removes the authentication account, profile, email and username directory entries, device public-key/notification information in the profile, your server block list and shared server conversations, including their messages and activity records. Successful in-app deletion also attempts to remove that account's saved local data and private key on that phone.
What may remain
- Comics or screenshots already received or saved by other people, and local copies on phones not reached by a remote deletion request.
- Abuse reports, support correspondence and safety records needed for investigations, fraud prevention or legal obligations. These are handled manually rather than automatically purged with an account; you can ask the developer to review retained information.
- Verification/rate-limit counters until their expiry cleanup, and provider logs or backups subject to the provider's retention process.
See the privacy policy's retention section for expiry targets and details. Account recovery does not restore deleted accounts or provide a backup of old encrypted chats.
